Refund Policy Changes for Audio Plans

FAQ

The changes to our refund policy (as discussed below) only impact Audio subscriptions (e.g satellite radio and streaming-only plans) purchased directly from SiriusXM. Other services, like our Marine, Aviation, Infotainment and Commercial Fleet subscriptions are not changing.

No. If you purchased a subscription through a third party like the App Store, Google Play, Amazon Fire TV, or Roku, the refund policy of the third party you purchased through applies and this policy change does not impact your subscription.

Audio subscriptions are becoming non-refundable on June 13, 2024. This means that if you cancel or wish to make changes to your audio subscription after this date, your cancellation or changes will take effect at the end of your current paid term. Excluding Quebec and Newfoundland, cancelling your subscription turns off future renewals and stops future charges. You can continue to listen to all your favourite channels through the end of your term, but no refunds will be given for any partial period.

No, if you are looking to add additional programming to your plan (i.e. a service level upgrade), we will upgrade your plan upon request and a prorated charge or credit will be applied.

Generally, no. Except for Quebec and Newfoundland residents, subscriptions with renewal and billing periods longer than a month (e.g. quarterly, semi-annual or annual plans), we will gladly provide a full refund within fifteen (15) days of your initial purchase or a prorated refund within fifteen (15) days of each renewal charge.

We may sometimes refer to the 15-day time periods as “Grace Periods”. Any cancellation requests received after your applicable Grace Period will not be eligible for a refund or credit.

If you cancel your subscription within these Grace Periods, your subscription will terminate immediately and you will be eligible for a refund.

For residents of Quebec and Newfoundland, you may cancel your subscription at any time and at your discretion by contacting us during our normal business hours. Your cancellation will become effective on the sending of the notice or the future date specified in your notice to us.

You can always transfer your service to another car and that will happen upon request. In most cases, you may transfer your existing paid subscription to the new vehicle.
Please visit siriusxm.ca/transfer for more information on how to transfer or add another vehicle to your account.

If you do not have another vehicle or radio to transfer your subscription to, please contact us to discuss your options.

There are no changes to the policy for Infotainment, Marine and Aviation plans.

You must take action to modify or cancel your subscription prior to June 1, 2024. If you are on a longer term plan and wish to change to a monthly billed plan, our agents would be happy to assist you.
