SiriusXM Canada –
A proud Canadian broadcaster

Amplifying Canadian music, voices, artists, content and the Canadian broadcasting system through our major financial contributions and far-reaching platform for nearly 20 years.
Canadian controlled and headquartered

SiriusXM Canada is a Canadian-controlled company, which launched in Canada in 2005. As a Canadian Broadcaster, licenced by the CRTC, we amplify Canadian music and voices on our North American-wide platform and have supported and promoted Canadian artists and content through our major financial contributions for nearly 20 years. SiriusXM employs over 200 people at our Canadian headquarters in Toronto and across the country. Learn more about our culture.

Homegrown content

SiriusXM broadcasts 23 Canadian-produced channels and over 200,000 hours of annual programming that can be heard coast-to-coast by our listeners, including remote and underserved communities. These channels feature the brightest talent from across this country, from emerging to established English, French and Indigenous musicians, comedians, personalities and more.

Contributing to Canadian artists

During our 20 years in business, we have provided over $200M to support Canadian artists through our Canadian Content Development contributions. This includes funding artist performances at small to large festivals across the country, Canadian award shows, Indigenous language preservation programs, and charitable contributions to make music resources more accessible to underserved Canadian youth. We have also provided substantial royalty payments to Canadian musicians and comedians played on Canadian channels on our North American-wide platform.

Amplifying the Canadian sound

Our commitment to Canadian programming and our extensive reach work together to give Canadian artists a North American platform and audience. We produce our own programs to spotlight Canadian artists such as SiriusXM’s Top of the Country, our annual search for Canada’s next big country star.
