NHL Network Radio to Air the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championship
Following the initial cancellation of the event that was scheduled to play in the spring in Halifax and Truro, the Women’s World Hockey Championship will take place from Friday, August 20th through Tuesday, August 31st in Calgary, Alberta.
It will be the first time the tournament will come to the province of Alberta and the eighth time the Women’s Worlds will be staged in Canada. Team Canada head into the tournament with a total of 10 gold medals, but Team USA have been climbing, now with 9 Gold medals, including winning the last five in a row. The Americans also head into the tournament with a 26 game winning streak.
