2021 NHL fearless playoff predictions Stanley Cup final
After five months of furious hockey in a most unique world situation, we’ve ended up exactly where we were last September.
The Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Corey Perry.
Okay, this time around The Worm is a member of the Montreal Canadiens, who are back in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1993. That year was also the last time they won the Cup, and the last time a Canadian-based franchise won it all. It’s been a long time.
The Lightning, of course, are defending their 2020 championship, the second Stanley Cup victory in their relatively brief history.
While Tampa no doubt will be favourites, that hasn’t seemed to bother Montreal yet, when they came back down 3-1 in games against Toronto, swept Winnipeg, and outlasted Vegas in 6.
But these are the Tampa Bay Lightning. The team that can play you any way you want. The team that doesn’t lose two playoff games in a row.
Two of the best goaltenders in the world at either end of the ice.
D vs. O. Short series? Or another nail biter? The winner gets the Tampa Bay Rays?
We’ve once again asked the Magnificent 17 here at SiriusXM NHL Network Radio for their predictions.
The Funniest Man Alive (aka Jesse Ralph), leaps into a three-way tie for first place, after putting up an impressive 5 out of 6 possible points in the semi-finals. Only Jesse, and Joe Thistel, dared to pick the Montreal Canadiens to advance against the Golden Knights.
