This past February 20th marked what would have been Kurt Cobain’s 50th birthday. The Nirvana mastermind took his own life at the tender age of 27, but his impact and influence continues to resonate across generations.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s birth, SiriusXM Lithium is playing one song from each of the Nirvana frontman’s favourite 50 albums. The list exemplifies the breadth of Kurt’s musical taste with an array of influences ranging from hard-core punk to The Beatles. SiriusXM host, Jenny Eliscu, will trace the musical roots of one of the ’90s most influential artists.
