About the hosts:
Patrick Bateman:
Patrick Bateman spent most of the last decade working terrestrial radio between Calgary and Red Deer, Alberta. In his previous role as Music Director, he focused on providing a platform for Canadian alternative & rock musicians. This continued with his work on ‘The Road The Stage’ podcast, as well as promotional work with Bo’s Bar & Stage and Communal Creative Studios in Central Alberta.
Patrick is a dedicated and passionate supporter of Canadian music across many genres and has served as a Polaris Music Prize juror since 2021.
Liza Frohmer:
Known for her wit, charm, and engaging personality, Liza Fromer is a widely respected broadcast journalist, having been part of many popular shows, including CityTV’s Breakfast Television, Global TV’s The Morning Show, as well as hosting her own series, The List, for the SLICE network.
A published author and mother of two, Liza released a series of six children’s books, known as The Bodyworks collection, with Tundra books. The series was co-authored with Dr Francine Gerstein and teaches kids ages 6-9 about how their bodies work.
Vicky Sparks:
Vicky Sparks is a pop culture, entertainment expert known for her dynamic on-air presence. She has engaged audiences as a guest host, film critic and pop culture expert on The Morning Show. She has been an entertainment contributor to multiple shows on AM640 and Entertainment Tonight online.
With a passion for storytelling and pop culture, Vicky brings humour and insight to every platform she graces.
