Commemorate National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with The Indigiverse

Turtle Island Talks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. As described by Canada.ca, “The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.”

This year, SiriusXM honours the day with two unique programs airing on The Indigiverse:

Turtle Island Talks: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

On the latest episode of Turtle Island Talks, host Dr. Pam Palmater explores the ongoing crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people in Canada. We’ll visit with family members who have lost loved ones and hear their stories.

Friday, September 29 – 6 am and 6 pm ET.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Saturday, September 30 – 3 am, 9 am, 3 pm and 9 pm ET.
Sunday, October 1 – 8 am and 8 pm ET.
