Saturday, November 30th – 1 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Montreal Canadiens at New York Rangers

Original Six matinee hockey from the Big Apple, as the Rangers tangle with Les Canadiens. New York, along with the Hurricanes and Devils, was expected to be battling for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Still, the impressive start by the Washington Capitals has made this a tight four-horse race.  Recently, there have been rumblings out of New York that the Rangers are looking to shake up their roster. Stay tuned. Montreal continues its slow-and-steady rebuild, and while the playoffs this April are asking too much, the fanbase hopes to see signs of improvement this season.

Sunday, December 1st – 8 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Ottawa Senators at Anaheim Ducks

A brand new month sees this 2007 Stanley Cup rematch, though that’s a long time ago. These days, both franchises are trying to get back to the postseason, with the Sens closer to returning to the playoffs, though their loyal and patient fanbase is wondering if this is finally the year. A recent 4-3 win over the visiting Calgary Flames ended an ugly losing streak for the Senators.

Monday, December 2nd – 7:30 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 167
Chicago Blackhawks at Toronto Maple Leafs

Connor Bedard makes his second-ever appearance in Toronto, leading a Blackhawks’ squad that has been tough to play against in recent weeks…including a 3-1 win last week over the Florida Panthers and a big 6-2 win over the Dallas Stars. The Maple Leafs have lived without captain and sniper Auston Matthews, but they haven’t missed a beat, winning most of those games. Forwards William Nylander and Mitch Marner are having impressive seasons.

Tuesday, December 3rd – 10pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights

Jack Eichel has picked up the slack for an injured Mark Stone, and the Golden Knights are once again one of the top teams in the Pacific Division. Tonight, they face an Oilers squad that recently dismantled the visiting Rangers 6-2. Does this mean Edmonton finally has its act together?

Wednesday, December 4th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Dallas Stars at Los Angeles Kings

While both teams have seemingly occupied a Western Conference playoff spot since the beginning of the season, there are question marks regarding both squads. When will the Stars kick it up a gear and look like the Stanley Cup contender most people believe them to be? Will they rebound from that recent 6-2 loss to the rebuilding Blackhawks? Will the Kings be able to hold on to a playoff spot, especially after subpar efforts such as the recent 7-2 loss to the rebuilding San Jose Sharks? Stay tuned.

Thursday, December 5th – 9 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Columbus Blue Jackets at Edmonton Oilers

Not much was expected out of the Blue Jackets this season for a myriad of reasons, both on and off the ice. Yet here we are, a quarter of the season already in the books, and Columbus is flirting with .500 hockey, which in the lower reaches of the Eastern Conference is enough to enter you into the wildcard conversation.

Friday, December 6th – 7:30 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Rangers

So, apparently, the Rangers would like to shake up their roster. And that’s coming from a team sitting in a playoff spot since the season got underway. High expectations for the Broadway Blueshirts, who were pegged to be a legitimate Stanley Cup contender this upcoming Spring. So, what does one make of the Pittsburgh Penguins? The Cup years are well in the rearview mirror, yet they operate as if they are one of the teams with a shot at a lengthy playoff run. Not with this current lineup. Will there be changes, I mean, a shakeup? Stay tuned.
