Enjoy sun-drenched songs from The Beach Boys all summer long on the band’s exclusive SiriusXM channel
Back by popular demand, The Beach Boys’ official channel, Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel, returns to SiriusXM for a limited two-month engagement from Friday, July 1st through Monday, August 29th on Channel 105 and on the SXM App.
Featuring songs from every phase of their 60-year career, Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel will bring The Beach Boys’ iconic sounds from the California coastline into the homes and cars of SiriusXM listeners, wherever they are. As the most complete and comprehensive audio collection from one of America’s most beloved bands, the channel will feature The Beach Boys’ early songs about surf, sand, girls and cars, to their pioneering sounds that influenced generations of artists. Listeners can expect to hear the band’s biggest hits, hard-to-find rarities, a cappella vocals, backing tracks, alternate versions, exclusive stories from family and band members (past and present), band members’ solo work and much more.
Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel will launch with a special Beach Boys Sounds of Summer Super Mix that will air throughout the Fourth of July Weekend. Three-song sets from the band’s new Sounds of Summer collection will air at the top of each hour from Friday, July 1st through Monday, July 4th.
The channel will feature a listener-voted countdown. It will be a 60-song list, in commemoration of The Beach Boys’ 60th anniversary. Voting will begin on July 1st and the countdown will air beginning Friday, July 29th.
In August, there will be a special featuring all of The Beach Boys’ Billboard Top 10 singles: A-side followed by B-side, in chronological order.
Tracks from Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best of the Beach Boys — a newly remastered and expanded edition of the group’s career-spanning greatest hits collection — will also be in heavy rotation on Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel. Sounds of Summer kicks off The Beach Boys’ yearlong 60th-anniversary celebration and provides the perfect summer soundtrack.
Originally released in 2003, the album soared to No. 16 in the US and stayed on the chart for 104 weeks. Now certified 4x Platinum for sales of nearly four and a half million albums, the new edition has been updated in both the number of songs and sonics as it expands the original 30-track best of with 50 more of the band’s most beloved songs for a total of 80 tracks that span their earliest hits to deeper fan-favourite cuts. Boasting 26 new mixes, it includes two first-time stereo mixes, plus 24 new-and-improved stereo mixes, which in some cases feature the latest in digital stereo extraction technology, allowing for the team to separate the original mono backing tracks for the first time.
