It’s a battle of young guns with Jack Hughes vs. Connor Bedard, plus more NHL Games of the Week
It’s another week of NHL action, as young guns Jack Hughes and Connor Bedard face, and you can hear all the games on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio.
Saturday, November 4th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Buffalo Sabres at Toronto Maple Leafs
It’s still early, as they say, but it’s getting later by the day, and both the Sabres and Maple Leafs are not necessarily playing at the level both teams expected to be at in early November. Buffalo has struggled for consistency, while Toronto got off to a blistering start, including a productive road trip, before looking unmotivated in a recent 4-1 home-ice loss to the visiting Los Angeles Kings. Which Sabres and Leafs teams show up tonight?
Sunday, November 5th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
New Jersey Devils at Chicago Blackhawks
A team rebuilding facing a team that just went through a rebuild and is looking to become a consistent power in the NHL. A young player (Connor Bedard) picked first overall this past June, facing another young gun (Jack Hughes) who was the number one overall draft pick a scant few years ago, and is now in the running for the Hart Trophy and the Art Ross Trophy as top scorer. The Devils are already one of the powers in the league, while the Blackhawks have quite the climb in front of them, but players such as Bedard point to a glittering future.
Monday, November 6th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks
A shaky start to the 2023-24 season for the Oilers and an impressive start for the Canucks…who defeated Edmonton twice to open up the campaign. Can Edmonton turn the ship around in time before they fall too far behind in the playoff race in the Pacific Division? Can Vancouver maintain this pace and push for a post-season spot most people wouldn’t have seen coming?
Tuesday, November 7th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
New Jersey Devils at Colorado Avalanche
Two of the top teams in the National Hockey League meet up tonight in Denver. The Avalanche, only a season removed from winning the Stanley Cup, are off to a good start, as are the young Devils, who are expected to challenge (once again) for first in the contentious Metropolitan Division. Both squads are loaded with game-breakers, whether it be Jack Hughes, Nathan MacKinnon, or Nico Hischier, or Mikko Rantanen, or Cale Makar or…
Wednesday, November 8th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Los Angeles Kings at Vegas Golden Knights
With the slow start by both the Oilers and Flames, it’s become an early three-team race in the Pacific Division. Two of those teams clash tonight on The Strip. The Golden Knights are off to a hot start, while the Kings aren’t far behind. Both teams can score, though so far, Vegas plays better team D than L.A.
Thursday, November 9th – 7 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Vancouver Canucks at Ottawa Senators
The third team in that Pacific Division mix is the Vancouver Canucks, who are in the capital city of Canada tonight, the first game in a quick three-game Eastern swing. The Canucks face a Senators’ team that suddenly is without a General Manager after the resignation of Pierre Dorian. On the ice, Ottawa have been underwhelming out of the gate after being expected to challenge for an Eastern Conference playoff invite this season.
Friday, November 10th – 10 pm Eastern – SiriusXM 91
Philadelphia Flyers at Anaheim Ducks
In past years, you might have skipped this game. Not this season. The young Flyers are a tough team to play against and are in seemingly every game. Tonight, they visit a Ducks’ squad who are loaded with impressive young talent and have surprised a lot of people early on.
