Lenny Kravitz is gearing up for the release of his eleventh studio album Raise Vibration, the entirety of which came to him in a dream.

Ahead of its September 7 release, he sat down with SiriusXM VOLUME host Kurt Loder for a Town Hall to discuss the inspiration behind the effort — such as an emotional moment he had with Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash — as well as his personal journey to becoming an artist and the collaborators he’s worked with along the way, including Madonna and Michael Jackson.

SiriusXM VOLUME Town Hall with Lenny Kravitz premieres Friday, 9/7 at 7 pm ET with replays Friday, 9/7 at 11 pm ET; Saturday, 9/8 at 1 pm & 10 pm ET; Sunday, 9/9 at 10 am, 3 pm & 7 pm ET.
