Reports to Director, Talk Programming
This highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in news talk radio will be responsible for assisting with programming content, production and administrative support.

Accountabilities
The candidate will be responsible for the following items:
- Assisting with the planning, organizing and coordinating production of talk radio programs
- Interaction with audience via social media, blogs and website updates, as well as all post-show follow-up (including On Demand)
- Assisting with the coordination of guest interviews, including booking studios; conducting research on guests and guest projects; taking video; and taking photos
- Assisting with responding to audience emails and inquiries as directed, in accordance with established company procedures
- Editing and uploading video and photos to various SiriusXM online properties
- Assisting with conducting research for programs as a whole and assisting with determination of required coverage
- Assisting with selecting and introducing material for broadcast
- Conducting updates for channel(s)
- Working with department manager to cultivate and maintain regular contact with newsworthy individuals, staying current via relevant industry sources
- Working in a professional manner with hosts, technical producers, guests and co-workers in all aspects of broadcast day
- Contributing to writing and editing of texts and scripts for broadcast
- Assisting with special features for broadcast, with necessary research conducted, as required
- Attending news conferences and events on behalf of SiriusXM, as assigned
- Performing other duties as needed, including assisting with writing and producing feature material and daily updates; updating website; participating in social media, and field reporting
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Level of Education
- Active enrolment in radio communications program at SiriusXM-partnered college or university; or successful completion of radio communications program with current acquisition of required co-op credits
Skills and Related Experience
- Ability to commit to schedule provided for duration of term, with flexibility to work between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, for 90 days (up to 160 hours)
