Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck

All Access sent by Premium Connectivity or a Wi-Fi Connection. Tesla Premium Connectivity or active Wi-Fi connection required. Premium Connectivity sold separately by Tesla. Learn more about Tesla’s Premium Connectivity Plan.

Tesla Model S, Model S Signature, and Model X (if SiriusXM equipped)

Model S, Model S Signature and Model X (if equipped) are equipped with SiriusXM satellite radio. Tesla Premium Connectivity or a Wi-Fi connection is not required to access SiriusXM in these vehicles.

  1. Connect to an active Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Ensure software is up to date by installing the latest over-the-air update (2024.44.25).
  3. Once the software update is installed, the SiriusXM Icon will display within Media Sources. Indicated with a blue dot.

Tesla Model 3, Y, and Cybertruck

Tesla Model 3, Y and Cybertruck owners may be eligible for a three-month trial to our premium level service. No credit card required.

Your trial must be activated in-vehicle and cannot be activated outside of the vehicle. Premium Connectivity or an active Wi-Fi connection is required. Premium Connectivity sold separately by Tesla. Learn more about Tesla’s Premium Connectivity Plan.

  1. Install the latest update (2024.44.25) via Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Once the software update is installed, the SiriusXM Icon will display within Media Sources.
    a. A blue dot underneath the app indicates a new app.
  3. Open the SiriusXM app and select Listen Now.
  4. Accept the terms and conditions.
  5. Enjoy SiriusXM in your car or connected devices with the SiriusXM app
    a. The remaining days in trial will display under the Subscription tab.

Tesla Model S, Model S Signature, and Model X (if SiriusXM equipped)

Model S and Model X owners may be eligible for a three-month trial to our premium level service. A trial subscription is only available to customers without an existing SiriusXM subscription.

  1. Contact SiriusXM at 1-888-539-7474.
    a. You will need your Radio ID number, under the Subscription tab.
  2. Once activated, tap the SiriusXM button from your in-car center touchscreen.
    a. If you can’t hear SiriusXM channels, select the SiriusXM Subscription tab for instructions to resend your radio signal.

Tesla Model 3, Y, and Cybertruck

  1. Open SiriusXM in your Tesla and navigate to the Subscription tab.
  2. Scan the QR code.
  3. Create your SiriusXM Account.
    a. Use an alternate email if you subscribed previously.
  4. Download the SiriusXM app.
  5. Enjoy SiriusXM during your trial on connected devices with the SiriusXM app.

Tesla Model S, Model S Signature, and Model X (if SiriusXM equipped)

  1. After your trial is activated, create your SiriusXM app credentials using your email.
  2. Download the SiriusXM app.
  3. Enjoy SiriusXM during your trial on connected devices with the SiriusXM app.
  1. Open SiriusXM in your Tesla and navigate to the Subscription tab.
    a. Requires Premium Connectivity or an active Wi-Fi Connection. Premium Connectivity sold separately by Tesla. Learn more about Tesla’s Premium Connectivity Plan.
  2. Scan the QR code.
  3. Follow the steps in your browser to subscribe.
    a. Use an alternate email if you subscribed previously. Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck cannot connect to existing accounts.

Model S, Model S Signature, and Model X (if SiriusXM equipped)

  1. Open SiriusXM in your Tesla, navigate to the Subscription tab and note your Radio ID.
  2. To subscribe, reference this Radio ID when you sign up online or call SiriusXM at 1-888-539-7474.
  3. Once subscribed, open SiriusXM in your Tesla.
    a. If you can’t hear SiriusXM channels, select the Subscription tab for instructions to resend your radio signal.
  1. Open SiriusXM.
  2. Navigate to the Subscription tab.
  3. Radio ID will display.

You can transfer your current SiriusXM service to your Model S or Model X by logging into your SiriusXM Account and following the prompts.

  • Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck owners cannot transfer their current service online. Please chat or call 1-855-346-8182 for assistance.
  • We can’t transfer a trial subscription from one vehicle to another.

Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck owners cannot add service to their existing account at this time.

You can add your Model S or Model X owners to your exisiting SiriusXM account by logging into your SiriusXM Account and following the prompts.

The email address is already associated with a SiriusXM subscription. An email address can be used only once. If you previously used an email address on a SiriusXM account it cannot be used again. It is necessary to either add your Tesla to your existing account (see eligible models and instructions above) or create an additional, new account using a different email address.

Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck

Tesla Model S, Model S Signature, and Model X

  1. Log on to the Online Account Center.
  2. Navigate to the Subscriptions tab.
  3. Choose Manage next to your plan.

Use the core navigation bar at the top right of the screen to browse For You, Music, Talk & Podcasts, Sports, Library, and Subscription tabs.

You can also use the voice or keyboard search options.

  1. Tap the microphone icon on your steering wheel to do a global voice search.
    a. Use phrases like “Play Howard Stern” or “Search Conan O’Brien”.
  2. SiriusXM content will be listed along with content from other apps. Results will display at the top of the list if SiriusXM is currently playing.
  1. Tap the search button to display the global keyboard search.
  2. Type an artist or show.
  3. SiriusXM content will be listed along with content from other apps.

Please add your favourite music and shows to your library using the circular plus icon. Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck cannot connect to existing account libraries at this time.

A variety of factors can impact SiriusXM’s performance in the car. Attempt the following steps to resolve:

  1. Check that your Tesla’s internet connection is active via your Premium Connectivity subscription or Wi-Fi.
  2. Check connectivity signal strength.
  3. Close SiriusXM by switching audio sources.
  4. Restart touchscreen.
  5. Perform a Power cycle.
